Hello Term 3!

Welcome back to Term 3!
I hope everyone has had plenty of restful days and exciting adventures in the holidays and are ready for a busy term ahead of us!

Have a look at some of the fun things we did on our first week back below:

Read Paris's blog post here about the 'Four Minute Challenge'

Our topic this term is 'Healthy Choices'.
Read Benjamin's curious question here about....

We looked at what Zentangle Art is all about and created a poster.  Check out Ford's poster on his blog here.

We had Student Led Conferences where we all proudly shared how successful we were at achieving our learning and personal goals! Special thanks to all the parents that booked a time to see Miss Ly!  Remember if you missed out due to other commitments, send me an email (or a raven) to book an alternate time and date that is suitable.

And of course, it wouldn't be the first week back without a team building challenge... Would it?  Read Mateo's blog post about 'Tactical Term 3 incoming' here.

Action packed first week back right?

Don't forget to come back and check out Room 9's blog in Week 2 to see what else we got up to!

Three different types of recount

These are three different types of recount. Their are factual recount, imaginative recount and personal recount. As you look at the photo down the bottom it shows the three different types of recounts. Do you know what does it mean at first? I did not until Miss Ly shared with the whole class. Here's my poster

Hello Term 1 of 2018!

I hope everyone had an amazing summer holiday!
Room 9 had an amazing start to Week 1 of Term 1 (yes, we know it was only three days..) BUT we spent the short week revising what F - I - R - E meant to us and we were introduced to A - C - E.

We also had our first Turbo Touch lesson...

And things got a little (more like super duper) sticky and messy at our Tallest Tower construction using only spaghetti and marshmallows!

Keep looking back on our classroom blog to learn what A - C - E means to us as we cover more over what our school Visions and Values mean to us as a learner.

Have a beautiful weekend bloggers!
